About us:
Te Ohu Kaimoana is an iwi-owned organisation established to protect and enhance the rights and interests of Māori relating to tino rangatiratanga of our taonga, with a focus on fisheries. Our vision is ‘Thriving whānau determining their relationship with Tangaroa’ and we work with iwi to support whānau so that they can determine a relationship with Tangaroa that is specific to them, to their tikanga, and their future. We are passionate about who we are and the mahi we do.
The role:
Te Ohu Kaimoana are looking for a Senior Solicitor to join their busy Wellington based office reporting directly to the General Counsel. This is a small but dynamic team, which will give you the opportunity to collaborate closely across the organisation to develop comprehensive and critical legal guidance for Te Ohu Kaimoana and the iwi we are in service to. This role is all about your passion for the mahi you deliver. We want you to play a critical role in developing our legal strategies, mentoring our solicitors while nurturing their future growth and knowledge.
